Working closely with professionals in the financial and health care fields, Deborah’s elder law and estate planning practice includes planning for disability, estate and long term care planning, public benefits counseling, Medicare and Medicaid claims, applications and appeals, preservation and transfer of assets, facilitation of long term care placements, end of life decisions, estate and trust administration, special needs planning, and guardianships.
Deborah’s practice is based on the philosophy of helping her clients to maximize their resources in order to achieve the best possible quality of life.
Peter has over thirty years of experience as a creditors’ rights attorney, representing businesses and financial institutions in connection with contractual obligations. His objective is to maximize recoveries through effective investigation, negotiation and, where necessary, litigation. His elder law practice includes estate and trust administration. Also accredited by the VA (he is the second of the three accredited attorneys in this part of the county), he assists veterans with obtaining and retaining benefits from the Veterans’ Administration.
Mary Ann has been with The Shore Law Firm since 2006. She has lived the role of caregiving child for her late dad and brings to her job a special empathy for our clients’ concerns. Mary Ann grew up in Taunton and received an Associate’s Degree from Johnson and Wales University. Her myriad business experience has been in the private, municipal and state sectors. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jim, and they have resided in North Dighton for the past twenty-two years. Their daughter, Erin, is the acting Interim Registrar of Motor Vehicles. Mary Ann’s hobbies include cooking, gardening and reading.
