Estate and Trust Administration

WHAT IS ESTATE ADMINISTRATION?

Estate administration is the process by which the assets owned by someone at the time of death are identified, collected, and distributed to others.  In some cases, this process is accomplished with the assistance and oversight of the probate court; in others, especially where the decedent left assets in trust, this work is done outside of the court.  In all cases, our goal is to ensure that the process is accomplished as efficiently as possible, and that the deceased person’s final instructions and wishes are fully honored.
